Comment:

a friend of mine has a problem booting xp. gets so far into the boot process then complains about isaff.exe not being able to match a password, then re-boots itself, and continues in a boot loop. situation does not change when trying to boot in safe mode or from last known good config.
can't find any mention of isaff.exe on the web. does anyone have any ideas??
help appreciated!

I don't think it is a real good security method if that is what it is.

I would think about using the XP CD to find that file and delete it. Or use a live CD to delete it.
