Ok what in Gods name (not THE God but a lesser God like a volcano God or something) is an XP boot disk...I know what ya thinkin but WAIT not a the set up disks I found the Microsoft article (Q...blah blah blah)I dont want or need one..I'm really happy with my trusty win9x boot disk (with tweaks)..but the question was put forth to me by a coworker and its been driving me crazy all morning.
You got the XP boot disk(S) the program you download and it extraxts itself to 6 floppies, these are the XP setup disks or yo have the Dos bootable disk, which is 1 floppy made by putting a floppy into the drive right clicking on the A: drive icon in my computer, selecting format and then checking the "create an MS-DOS startup disk" Does this answer your question?

There is no win xp boot disk. There is a set of 6 boot disk if you cannot boot from the cd-rom drive.
There is another disk called Automated System Recovery disk that you can use to restore your system.
You can create a MS-DOS startup disk in win xp by right-click on the drive A and select format option and then check the Create a MS-DOS startup disk check box.
Hope this answers your question. Bye
