xp boot disk wont work

i recently installed linux on my computer and everything was going well untill i couldnt get my gfx card drivers to install/work.. so i thaught well ill just go back to xp and i cleared my hdd (deleted the partition with linux on it) then i popped in my xp reinstall disk and it said "press any key to boot from cd" then went to "detecting your hardware configuration".. then reboots.. and thats all i can do now.. please help me with this
