Hello, I just want to say that I have been seeing some really informative post here lately ...Thanks. My question has to do with the Windows XP Application Compatibility Update. It says that the update addresses compatibility issues on several programs. My question is on Easy CD Creator 4.02, Does this update make the program compatible with XP ? If it's supposed to, I still get a warning when I try to install it and I don't understand why if the update is supposed to make XP compatible. I also see this update addresses several other programs that I have that don't work in XP (Virus scan 5.16 for example). Does this update make my old programs work in XP ? And if so, Why do I still get warnings ? Thanks.

I agree that it looks like Microsoft is trying to fix some compatibility problems. However, I have tried to load this patch over six times and each time I go back to the update site and scan for new updates it shows the same update. After loading this update my gnotella program stopped working completely. It had worked part of the time before I ran the update. I also loaded Office XP and was using Outlook. Outlook blocks any .exe and .url files sent through email and no way to prevent that. I went back to Outlook express and it failed to work as well. I reloaded XP from my CD but no change. I have no idea what to try now. Anyone that may have resolved this problem? Please email me. Thanks
