I was wondering what were some options to change the way windows XP looks. I saw programs a long time ago before I had XP that a friend was using that completely changed the way it looked.

I would just do a google search but I want something safe that doesnt add spyware or adware. Maybe you guys know?

Neither. It was like the entire desktop was transformed into something else. Not like another operating system, but the shapes of things were different, the locations could be different, etc.

The easier thing you can do yourself is ask your friend what he or she is using. What's wrong with asking?

Go here there is a ship load of themes that will change the appearance of Win XP.

Most need Windows Blinds or a similar skinning app installed to work properly though...

Look man, I would have asked him but considering it was over five years ago back in a college 2700 miles away from where I live now with a guy I hung out with maybe twice.
