Hi, I have some problems running my network on a server 2003 pc(its supposedly NT v5.someting) and a XP home pc. The server pc can read the shared files on the XP pc, but the XP pc cant read the server pc as it needs a password, and i didnt set one...if i try to run the network setup wizard i'll probably corrupt the network as i did the last 2 times..help is appreciated!

Have you gone into Command Prompt on the Server and Mapped the Network Drives?
You say you run the Network Wizard I presume you meant on the XP Home PC, there is no need.
NT5 is W2K Server, surely you are running DHCP, therefore if you set XP Home to DHCP in your TCP/IP settings for your Network Card it should find the Server.
You did mean XP Home edition not XP Pro edition?

Hmm.. I ran the networking wizard on both coms. Yes, i meant XP Home edition. On the XP home pc, DHCP is turned on. The problem now is that I can find thw shared files, but i cant access them because i need to type a password, which I obvioulsy did not set. Thanks for the help.
