Windows Xp professional...I have a 1 Gig Dell Insprion with 258 mem..
PROBLEM:::I CAN connect to my ISP but cannot get the internet to work..I have tired working with the ISP comapany to get this straight but they seem not to know SH--..I have confiqured the DNS addresses. reinstalled most all protocols necessary..I am taking links, hints, and anything you can give me to try and get this straightened out..Thanks in advance to all of you knowledge guruos out there!!!!!!!

you need xp spay first to fix yor problem if i have your e mail i wil send you the xp spay is a litel program this whil fix your problem

First thing you need to do is check to make sure your hardware is working right. In the Control Panel under System, click the Hardware tab and check the device manager to make sure your modem is working right. It would help if you gave info about your isp and if it is dialup, cable, or what. There might be someone here with the same isp who knows exactly what the problem is. Have you tried XP's connection wizard and what was the result?

I have tried the connection wizard....I have worked with four different people from my Isp's tech support with no conclusion..I really feel that I am at a standstill with what I should do..I think the next step I am going to take is to remove all ethernet connections to my Pc AND START ALL connections from scrach of course with just trying to use my ISP connection and accessing web pages first....

Try using a dial up networking connection.
I always use this which removes the need for any ISP software. If you just click on start and go to dial up networking connections and follow the on screen instructions, all you need is the ISP phone number.
If you want send me your e-mail address and i'll send you a step by step instruction guide.
