I have a 33.6kbps GVC modem which fails to work with XP. It works fine with Win 2000. XP recognises the modem and installs it. But the modem doesnt work (cannot connect to the net). even tried installing standard 33.6 modem drivers which come with xp but no success. One funny thing i found in the list of modem drivers is that the drivers for my Modem are not present in the list even though xp recognises and installs the modem.
I had a look at some other similar queries. xp does have a problem with a lot of modems. the only thing to do is install win 2000 or xp drivers. i couldnt find any 2000 or xp drivers at the gvc sites for 33.6k external modems. it would be a great help if somebody can direct me to a site which has these drivers.
