XP and Fax Modem

Have DSL internet access with external modem which works fine (except for Outlook Express) with XP. Unfortunately, XP does not recognize my analog modem which I use to send faxes. It's a two year old Rockwell HCF 56K Data Fax PCI Modem. Do I need a new driver or what? Any suggestions as to where to get one? Thanks

It could be that you need a new driver for WinXP. When Windows XP says that its not an certified device or anything, it doesn't meen it won't work. If it doesn't, well, you just have to wait until Win XP does certify it (Update)... But my first try would be a new driver...

I´ve got an US.Robotics 56k Faxmodem (external). Turn first the modem on and then start windows. If I start windows first and turn later the modem on, it won´t be recognized. Chris
