Reply: (edit)you dont have the right codec, you must get the right codec, one that works is the Kristal Studio Pack-type taht in search and download it, if that dont work, goto www.vcdhelp.com/vcdtools then goto codecs and find your divx plugins, but the kristal studios pack will work.

Reply: (edit)I've tried downloading many codecs and still get hanging when i full screen an avi in media player, both the new and old one. Tried using divx.com's player and that one the video and audio didn't match. I love watching movies and this is killing me! Please help!! have a p3 700 mhz, 256 ram, 11mb video mem

Reply: (edit)the avi file that you ripped is to big for the xp wmp to play it. try power dvd 4 from www.kickme.to/fosi. if power dvd dont play it you dont have the codec
