I was just wondering how to uninstall the default version of my MSN Messenger. I believe last time I tried Add/Remove and it wouldn't allow me because it claimed that other programs were using MSN Messenger...?

Thanks to whomever helps

the program most likely using it, assuming its not running in your system tray is an antivirus such as norton. if you have norton installed go into the options, look for an instant messenger tab, and uncheck the box that says to scan msn or windows messenger.

Actually, M$ made it easier to do with the SP2 update. There is a removal tab under the security heading in control panel.
