I Just installed sp1 and noticed some changes in ie. When I pull the down menu (where you type the url in) it wants to run alg.exe (I had to reinstall nortons). If I say ok, it locks up. If I say no, the program freezes. AFter the first time trying, it continues to work until I restart the program. Part of it could be related to the fact that there are ftp programs in the list. Ive had problems w/ ftps for a while w/ xp. Ive noticed that I get a "Sokets De Trois" trojan attack port 5000 message when I try and nortons blocks the site. Nortons and other viruscans show no trojan on my system. I'd like to get ftp access working again, but thats another problem w/ xp that I have. As a side note, there is a Pentium 400 w/ 98 networked to the system. At any rate, any help in any of the two possibly related problems is appreciated. George
