Comment:

I got a new DVD/RW drive bundled w/Nero8, and I installed the hardware without a hitch. But when I went to install Nero, it said I didn't have the most recent XML parser and directed me to a microsoft help website. After a few frustrating minutes, I realized that the download links only showed up as bold text, same as when I went to check my email. The search function on my computor no longer worked, and whenever I tried opening IE google toolbar would crash it. I've tried numerous things, installing the asked-for service pack from a different website, to running scandisk. Nothing has worked. Any ideas?

What service pack are you running? Service pack 3 has the latest xml parser in it.

Yes, I got service pack 3, but I had to get it from another websites since the microsoft website's links were just showing up as bold text. I installed it but nothing changed.
