xmasscsi is this a virus?

I keep getting a xmasscsi/raid controller message wanting to install this controller. I do NOT have any scsi or raid anything on this computer. my virus scanners do not detect anything. i go to device manager and delete it but it keep coming back.. anyone have any clues what might be my problem? Is it possibly a virus? thanks for any reply franbarb

Do a registry search for it if you are familiar with editing the registry and delete it. Backup before the delete.

many thanks, I tried and did delete some instances, but i can not delete it from the 'root' LAGACY_XMASSCSI directory.. it won't let me delete it there. any more help would be appreciated.. thanks franbarb
