Does anybody have a formula for checking Lotto results. I belong to a syndicate and we have the same numbers each week (8 numbers) but I want to check a years worth of results. I can down load the results for the last year but I don't want to have to check each week individually. Any Ideas

Is the xyz email addess a valid address as it is shown?
What you are asking is really quite simple but does involve several formulas.
I have a speadsheet that checks my Keno numbers against the state's drawn numbers that is over 2,000 draws per week. I have another smaller one that checks a daily draw comprised of 192 rows of data.
I have the later set to show if I hit 4, 5, 6 or 7 numbers.
The later would be more applicable to your query and could be easily modified to fit your needs.
How many numbers are drawn in a given game out of how large a field? eg. Eight of Eighty. What is the website's URL?
If your email address is not correct and you are interested then PM me with your correct address.

BryanP.S. You should have posted this in the "Office Software" forum page.

Perhaps "Lotto" where you pick 6 of 45 with 2 supplimental numbers drawn making 8.
Tough looking game. Too many rules; 52 pages of them.

Thanks Brian,6 numbers plus 2 supplementry numbers. 8 in total. We enter a system 8. All I need to do is check the results and of course I am only interested in looking at winning games; which is 3 numbers (or better) plus 1 or 2 supplementry numbers. see link:

Emailed NWLotto.xls (127 kb)
It includes the results for Monday and Wednesday Lotto only.
The Saturday numbers run with the same drawing numbers which I used to sort the results. You will need to just paste over the data starting with the date field and make sure to remove any extras left from the Monday and Wednesday draws on the bottom.
I would suggest simply copying the one I sent you to make a separate spreadsheet for Saturday's draws.

Bryan
