help! every week i load pictures from my xd picture card into my computer never a problem. i accidentally erased the pictures off my card. last time i did this i used my card recover program and it found them and put them back. this time the program finds no files. i've tried several other program to which they also find no files. i had to format the card because my computer kept saying the card is not formatted. usually i can find the lost pictures with the programs. help

lolohill, in the normal course of events 'delete' doesn't get rid of data. It simply marks the previously used area as ready for use and as new data gets saved, it's put there over the old. Old data can be recovered just so long as it hasn't been overwritten. 'Formatting' writes to each area over previously saved data rendering it unrecoverable. That may explain why the recovery won't this time. HTH. Ed in Texas.
