wupdmgr.exe is gone

My wupdmgr.exe is gone from windows system directory!!!
Instead of wupdmgr.exe in the target field of Windows Update is actmovie.exe!
What can i do?
Can i copy wupdmgr.exe from another PC in my system directory????????

Sounds like you have been infected. Try a search in windows explorer for the file. you may find another copy in the system32 dll cache. But you will have to clean out the spyware/malware. Could even be a virus. A quick google for actmovie.exe brought up a heap of hits that mention worms.

Run an AV scan, and download AdAware, Spybot, and CWShredder, install them, update them, and run. Delete anything that looks suspicious. Some ad-vise deleting everything because it's all reversible. Also get SpyWare Blaster which keeps a list of bad stuff on your computer and blocks them from being installed (theoretically). Be sure your independent (not MS’s) firewall is enabled.
