my Outpost Firewall just popped up and said that www.computing.net (THIS SITE) just attacked my comp with a port scan. it said the ip was 216.235.147.35... i am so freakin confused what is happening??? it also says it scanned my TCP Port (2104, 2103, 2102, 2101, 2100, 2099) HELP ME!

Hello,

I'm not positive, but I think web servers sometimes try to make connections back to the clients trying to contact them. I wouldn't be too concerned about it, especially if it happened while using the site or immediately after using the site.

I agree with Justin as to how this could happen. I have had experienced the same phenomenon several times in the past when I left the site. I traced it back through the firewall alert and discovered the cause. I'd just ignore it.
