would wrong drivers cause this?

i installed a new keyboard & mouse last night (wireless) & after a while after startup my computer becomes quite slow, i try open task manager, i get the green icon in the taskbar but the actual task manager window doesnt appear on screen, also opening applciations or trying to get norton to show up doesnt work,

Reboot into safe mode and see if you have the same problem.

It is possible for drivers to cause that.

You can remove them in safe mode and see if the issue goes away.
