worrying boot problems

when booting up my pc keeps resetting sometimes at 4 or five times before it gets into windows
it usually happens after the windows xp loading screen or just before that i think.
also it keeps saying that windows didnt shutdown properly last time (not true) and needs to be checks. these scans usually weild a lot of messages like "deleting corrupt attribute record (128, "") from file segment" or "deleting orphan file record segment 2326"
