Comment:

I just reformatted two nights ago, I had used AVG to remove the infected files but then when I rebooted, the computer said it could not find something, press control alt delete to restart, and so forth, it cycled. Anyway, I have a partitioned drive that allows me to reformat and that drive is still infected. How do I go about safely removing this worm? I also put files like pictures etc from my computer before I reformatted onto a PNY 8 Gb usd drive, is that at risk now too :( ?

Slow down buddy your post is a blur.

What did you format? C:?

What do you mean by a partitioned drive that allows you to format?

Are you running any antivirus software?

Education is key to prevention. Prevent conception you prevent abortion. Abstinence training clearly isn't working.

Ok, I recovered my entire computer, it came with 2 different drives, C and D, D has all the windows xp stuff. They really do not give the discs anymore, so they do it like that.

I was running free avg, after I realized something might be wrong, I scanned, found some worms, tried to repair them and once i restarted it wouldn't even make it to the login screen.

So what happens when the drive dies? I have never bought a computer but, don't they include some method to create your own restore cd?

I ran avg in safe mode, and I found the same worm that has been plaguing me. At first it did not let me get into my D drive, but I used the idea from someone here, and that is fixed, however the worm is still coming back over and over.
Here is my avg safe mode log.
