Comment:

Since I reinstalled windows on my computer, also had to reinstall my other programs. When I try and open word 2000, I get this error message:

works cannot access one or more of the required files. the files may have been renamed, deleted or moved. Try reinstalling works, and then starting the program again.

I have tried reinstalling multiple times but this has not helped. I also looked at this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;279291
But I do not have a microsoft windows 98 CD rom, so I couldn't try to remove the damaged file as it instructed.

If anyone could provide me with some help I'd be reallt greatful.

Sabs :-)

this is the link you need for your missing dll file. Make shure you have winzip or other .zip opener installed. Their should be instructions included on how to place it. If no just extract to the windows/system folder.

Good luck, keep us posted.

I got the file and unzipped it, and the instructions said to put it in the windows system directory. I have 2 folders in WINDOWS-system and system32...which one do I put it in? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but last time I messed around with the system I ended up having the reboot the whole system. As you can see, I'm not a very technical person :P

Thanks for the link, snowspeeder!
