Comment:

I have a small lan network with a dsl router. I have a W2K server, two W2K, and one xp. I have a printer attached to the W2K server and to give the XP pc access I had to create an account on the server, but for the xp how do I get the user to login so that the server recognizes the username i created. When the user logs off on the xp pc he loses connection to the server and when he logs back on the printer says that access is denied.

Are you using Xp home edition? As far as i know, some network function doesn't appear in Home edition. If you need the printer connection permanently, you can use 'LPR Port' to connect the printer.Te connection will not lost then.
Hope it help
