I just started getting a problem where words start typing on my computer by themselves. It happens in Word or in boxes like this one. It also happens when I am not online. I have run Norton and do not find a virus(yes, it is cuurent). I also get tons of returned emails in my email that I never sent. My comptuer is very slow now. Please help.

Hello...

Have you tried Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware SE, CWShredder, SpywareBlaster, McAfee Avert Stinger and Trojan Remover??
Do you have a firewall such as ZoneAlarm or Sygate?

You can get Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware SE, CWShredder, SpywareBlaster & McAfee Avert Stinger all at majorgeeks.com.

You can get Trojan Remover at simplysup.com
It is the 30 day trial version, but unlike a lot of programs, it actually will scan and remove anything it finds during the 30 day trial period. It is an excellent program. I went ahead and bought the pro version.

You can get a firewall at zonelabs.com. Not too sure where you can get sygate firewall, maybe at majorgeeks as well. I personally have ZoneAlarm, I upgraded to the paid pro version on that too.

After you download all these, update them first and then do a complete scan. They are excellent programs.

Lot's of luck to you...

I do have Ad Aware but now when I open it, it says reference file not found. i just got Zone Alarm. I will try the others.

Will this help with the returned emails I keep getting?

Thanks for all your help

Well, I dunno about the returned emails, but the programs will remove spyware, adaware, and anything else that is lurking in the computer, which can be responsible for the slow computer.
I would uninstall your Adaware and reinstall it, be sure to get the SE version, update and scan. Then do all the others.
What type of email do you use? I would run another Nortons scan or go to :

http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/startcorp.asp

This is a free online scan. If Nortons doesn't find anything try that one. You might have some sort of email virus.

Hey, check out that speech recognition thing teri suggested. Especially if you've got a microphone plugged in. I had this same problem some time ago and after troubleshooting for so long, I found out that it WAS that speech recognition program that was causing me problems.

*Shakes head in disbelief*
