When I paste text into Wordpad, the screen jumps placing the pasted text at the top of the screen. I hate this, it is confusing, and notepad does not do it. But notepad will freeze when textfiles are too big, and large replace-alls can take forever in notepad. Is there a way to stop Wordpad from jumping like that? Also, is there a free way for me to get Microsoft Word to use with WinXP? My WinXP conmputer came with Lotus Word, but this Lotus Word crashes all the time. Microsoft Word came on my WinSE2 computer, but it won't run on the WinXP computer. If I can't get Microsoft Word, what free editor allows find/replacing invisible characters like carriage returns? |
