Sadly Microsoft simply won't bundle the better word processor and admit defeat...
If you go Start > Programs > Accessories there is WordPad. This is a VERY watered down version of Word. Other than that all that is bundled with Windows is Notepad.

Open Office is a large download (50MB) but it's free and works great: http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/1.0.1/index.html Atlantis Nova is a nice, free word processing program that's only a 1MB download: http://www.rssol.com/en/

Yes open office is great it will open and you can save as anytype of MS format.I liked it so much I bought Star Office 6.0 wich is the same thing with tech support and the book that MS charges 50$ for. Go for it you wont be sorry Ron Watts
