word formatting

I tried to send a resume on the net and the site wouldnt except it. It said only word format. I did the resume in word perfect 10. What do I do?

Could you be a little more specific? Did you try to email it, or post it on a web site? What was the exact message that said it wouldn't accept it?

It was an email attachment and the message wasnt comp error it was a site message. It said "Oops we only except file attachments in WORD format".

I dont see what your problem is: You have already freely admitted you did it in WORDPERFECT, which they have said that they do not want!

I know what I said! I didnt know that WORD stood for MS WORD and not WORDPERFECT. I thought there may be a way around it in any case!

Wordperfect has the option to save as a Work document. Try doing a Save As and scroll down the list until you find Word.

Tom's right. But he mis-typed at one point. Since there is a Works program, it's worth noting. As he says, save it in Word...MSWORD, that is.

Still not entirely sure this will solve your problem. Are you sure the message said 'except' and not 'accept'? If it did, I'd be highly suspicious of the whole thing.

Well, if somebody doesn't kow the difference between "WORD" and "WORDPERFECT", nor "accept" and "except", I hope the employer or employee wasn't referring to an office job...
