I've been using Word for various things for quite a while. But today I went to make sheets of addresses for our Chapter. Just names/addresses/phone numbers/etc all in one column. After doing about two pages, I got this error message: Runtime Error! Program: c\programfiles\Microsoft Office\Office10\WINWORD.exe abnormal program termination What's happening? I can only click on the 'x' or close and I loose everything. Have done this twice; loosing everything both times..second time, only got about three names typed and bingo! error message. I turned the computer off, tried again and the third attempt gave me the same results. ugh!!! Any suggestions? Thanks Barb

Barbara M The problem is related to the auto-save function in Word. Here are a couple of things you can do. A Quick but Temporary Fix Open Word – click on TOOLS then OPTIONS and then click on the SAVE tab. Beside the SAVE AUTORECOVER INFO EVERY heading you will find a window with automatic saving options. By default, this set for 10 minutes. Set it to something like 60 or 90 or more if you use the program that long at a time, then click OK. This will not solve the problem but should stop it from failing until you find a more permanent solution. The “fix” does involve making registry entries so be very careful. Good luck!
