Hey!

I am currently having some problems with Office 2007. It was working fine yesterday but suddently it won't start this morning.
It will freez when in startup and it will just say (not responding) and it crashes :'(

I really don't know what is going on with this app. I tried reinstalling it and it still didn't work.

Any advice would be very helpful . Thanks!

Is this the only problem with the computer?

Try one or more of the systematic fix outlined in this article. It covers the following common problems associated with Word 2007:

• Missing toolbars
• Word crashes repeatedly
• Word freezes right after opening
• Any strange Word behavior unrelated to a particular document

In the future please post any Office questions in our Office Software Forum

I don't have Office 2007 but there may be some requirements that you aren't fulfilling. Things like what service pack is installed.

I suggest you read what the requirements are for Office 2007 and see if you meet them.

In the meantime I suggest you uninstall it. There MAY be a repair or modify option in the add/ remove programs. If there is, it won't show as an option until you click on the program listing. You always get at lleast the option to cancel or remove. Sometimes repair or modify.

well, it was working yesterday.

so i don't think it has to do with system requirements.

I actually tried to install Office XP and it still had some problems :'(

it froze when I wanted to change fonts ...

don't know if its my computer or this crappy software :S

Word 2007 isn't a crappy software as far as I am concerned. I've been using Office 2007 ever since it was first released last February. To date I have yet to encounter problems. IMO it's the best office system I have ever seen.

Did you try any of the fix outlined in my previous post (Post 3)?

I've used Office for years and have found it to be very good, although I consider others to be better.

But I agree, you may have a bad sector on the hard drive or a memory address problem.

Did you try a system restore? If software issues a restore may fix the problem. If hardware it won't.

Downloading another copy of Office 2007 - from whom??? If it's pirated or P2P or counterfeit no wonder why none of the systematic fix works for you.
