Can someone please tell me how to get back File-menu (the 1st menu) in the top bar? It's disappeared somewhere and I cannot recover it by any ways I've used! Thanks!

Go to this MS KB article. It may help. I know that in Word 2000 you can go to Tools, Customize, and add and delete menus and menu items. Assuming all your other menus are in the toolbar, you may have accidentally deleted it.
