I just upgraded my OS to XP from ME. Now Word 2000 won't work. It starts to load, then following error message appears: "Microsoft Word for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
All other Office 2000 Pro programs work fine. I tried deleting the Normal.dot file, but still no good. Same upgrade on other system I own does not have same problem. It is specific to my office computer. Any thoughts?

I have uninstalled, reinstalled and repaired Office several times, but problem persists. I can't imagine why Word is only component effected.
