My computer can't boot up. Every time I try to boot windows, it just restarts my computer into the windows start up selection screen. Once it showed an error screen that said something about a memory dump and then flashed away before I could copy it all down. Can someone help me solve this problem?

A Description of the Safe Mode Boot Options in Windows XPAt the Safe Mode boot options screen, select Safe-Mode to boot into, to see if Safe-Mode works.
If that works, then
Right click My Computer,
Properties,
Advanced tab,
Settings button (Startup and Recovery),
uncheck Automatically Restart. Now you should get an error message when it happens again.

Also you could Try System Restore to a date when all was good.
Start >All Programs >Accessories >System ToolsUsing System Restore too many times can cause
more harm than good. After doing a restore
that does not fix a problem, then UNDO the
Restoration, and try another restore point, or
just do the UNDO.

This "XP Repair" is also for if Safe-Mode does not work ---
