Hello => First post here.
So, my system froze last night and I hard-booted. Then I sign-in at the user (user/admin) option and it switches to the Desk Top background picture...and nothing. I can ctrl-alt-delete and see that processes are there, I have full fuction of the ctrl-alt-delete, but I can't do anything else.
When I try to enter in safe-mode, it loads, but then just sits at a blank screen (minus the notes in the corner that say (Safe-mode.)
If I try system recovery mode it gives me the big blue screen warning "A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer."
*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
I've tried all the F12/F8 restore options and it either locks up at that desktop start screen (see above) or it gives me the error screen (see above.) This computer didn't come with boot disks, because it says they are loaded in the HD.
Hmm... what to do? Thanks!

I would slave the HDD to another computer and backup the data. Then, put the drive back in, press F12 and select System Recovery from the menu. That will restore your system to its factory state. Meaning, it will format the drive and reinstall so that it's just like it was when you received it from Dell.
