I have a laptop that won't boot up. The screen will only light up (white) but will not display any colors or any type of text. The fan runs but I can't tell if the hard drive is running. The screen is totally blank. I tried a recovery CD and it did nothing.

Any suggestions??? Bad hard drive?

Thanks,
Joe

Probably needs to go in the shop.
It's not a hard drive problem.

There should be an indicator light, for the hard drive, that blinks.
