I converted footage from my Camcorder to a WMV file (from MPG), and inserted it into my website. When I (or anyone else) goes to the page where the file is, the movie begins immediately. How can I fix it so that it starts only on demand, and not when the page is opened? Thanks for your help.

Autoplay???

You need to put the proper code on the website. What software did you use to create the website?

Ed and Kurt -

Many thanks. I don't know how or where to turn the Autoplay off, and that sounds like a reasonable explanation. I checked the properties on both the converted file and the original and there's nothing about Autoplay there. I did the conversion with MS Movie Maker so I'll check there and see if that will do it. Otherwise, I'm still stuck with what I now have.

Thanks again. More guidance would be much appreciated.

Bob

Individual files do not contain an autoplay option. You need to do the coding correctly on your website.

Good Grief! That was easy. Just went to properties on the file within the web creation software and turned off AutoStart. Thanks Ed and Kurt very much for pointing me there.
