Hi everyone, i've been experiencing problems when playing some wmv files on all my media players( windows, winamp, vlc). Other filetypes play just fine. Whenever i play some of these wmv files i get little pink purple blue and green horizontal stripes which collectively, form one giant vertical beam on the left side of the display. This problem occurs only when playing some wmv files, while other more recently downloaded wmv files play just fine. What bothers me also is that i burned one of these defective wmv files on to dvd, and when playing it back it played just fine without any defect whatsoever. I tried to printscreen this defect to better illustrate this problem whithout succeeding so hopefully my problem discription is accurate enough to give you an idea of what's happenning. QUESTIONS ARE: 1. What is this defect? 2. Is it filetype related, or is there something wrong with my laptop? 3. How do i get rid of this problem? Thanks.
