wmv and avi missing thumbnails
Name: diven Date: February 22, 2006 at 21:22:47 Pacific OS: Win XP x64 CPU/Ram: AMD64 3500+/ 1 GiB Product: Custom
Comment:
The thumbnails for wmv and avi files don't appear when in thumbnail view for explorer windows. MPG files work. I also just recently tried using the "file open" dialog and the wmv and avi thumbnails appear as they should in that dialog.
My OS is x64.
I've tried several methods pointed to by post on this site but nothing has helped so far.

Have you recently uninstalled any application similar to DivXcodec or Avi-player? Sometimes uninstalling a program associated with a file does that. Try setting the "opens with" to a dirrerent movie player temporarily in properties. If that doesn't help, then have you had to terminate processes/turn off you computer manually? Maybe something damaged in system.
