Comment:

when I click on my files to play them with windows media player it says that there is an internal error and that the instruction at "0x591c28e9" referenced memory at "0x521e4e70". The memory could not be "readz". How do I go about fixing this?

What is your operating system.
if you have Windows xp installed try this

This issue can occur if some WMP files are corrupt. Let us follow these steps to
resolve the problem:

1. Click Start, and select Control Panel.
2. In Control Panel, click Tools on the menu, and select Folder Options.
3. In Folder Options, switch to the View tab, select the "Show hidden files and
folders" option, clear the "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide
protected operating system files (Recommended)" checkboxes, and click OK.
4. Restart computer, and enter Safe Mode (Press the F8 key during the startup
process, select Safe Mode, and boot up)
5. In Safe Mode, open Windows Explorer, and rename the following files to .old.
(For example, refer to the c:\Program Files\Windows Media Player folder, and rename
the wmplayer.exe file to wmplayer.old)

File Name Directory
Wmplayer.exe---c:\Program Files\Windows Media Player
Wmpvis.dll-------c:\Program Files\Windows Media Player
Wmplay.chm-----c:\Windows\Help
Wmplayer.chn----c:\Windows\Help
Quartz.dll----------c:\Windows\System32
Wmp.ocx----------c:\Windows\System32
Wmpcd.dll---------c:\Windows\System32
Wmpcore.dll--------c:\Windows\System32
Wmploc.dll----------c:\Windows\System32
Wmpscheme.xml---c:\Windows\System32
Wmpshell.dll---------c:\Windows\System32
Wmpstub.exe--------c:\Windows\System32
Wmpui.dll------------c:\Windows\System32

Wmp.PNF-----------c:\Windows\inf
Wmplayer.adm------c:\Windows\inf
Wmplibrary_v_0_12.db-c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Media Index

6. Restart the computer and enter BIOS. Modify the setting and let the system first
boot from the CD-ROM. You can get the detailed steps to enter into BIOS from the
manual of the motherboard.
7. Insert the Windows XP install CD and restart the computer.
8. Press ENTER on the first option screen to select the "To set up Windows XP now,
Press Enter".
9. Press F8 to accept the License Agreement.
10. Setup should now detect your installation.
11. When you are prompted to repair the existing Windows XP installation, press
R.
12. Follow the setup wizard to repair your Windows XP.
