Hey

I was wondering, can you get a plugin for windows media player to rip cd's into MP3 as i dont like the default files wmp creates. i prefer to use media player if i can as it is fast and simple without using another program. other programs you need to open up, do settigns then go for it, and then still need to look up the album art, at least with media player, it does it all for you as soon as u put in the cd.

so is there a plugin anywhere to do this?

Plz let me know, either reply or email

The short answer is no...

WMP is a player not an editor. Your best bet is to do a search on the freeware/shareware sites for a music editor/convertor.

I use AUDACITY for editing and DBPOWERAMP for converting, good programs and they're free.

MusicMatch Jukebox is a free download and will convert cd's to mp3.

Yes there is.

Google for l3codecp.exe

Install it and then save the following as a .reg file and import.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Settings\MP3Encoding]
"LowRate"=dword:0000dac0
"MediumRate"=dword:0000fa00
"MediumHighRate"=dword:0001f400
"HighRate"=dword:0002ee00

Voila - MP3 encoding.

Email - kinel @ www.com - remove spaces

I found that codec after i posted this message lol. anyway you do not need to do a reg edit at all, i use wmp 10, once i installed, i go to encoder settings and there it is, minimal is 128 and highest 320. im using 192kbps to encode, no need to go higher.

anyway thanks for the info
