how do i get rid of thebox that pops up all the time : wmi has detected a problem and has ti close any information would be appreciated thanks carol

You cannot remove WMI. It is a core component of windows. What error message have you been getting?

Go to event logs and see what the error is and report that back to us before you go any farther.
