Upgrading from an older OS to Win XP usually results in frequent error messages. A clean install of Windows XP is the preferred and best way to install Win XP. I believe most users will agree with this.

In my XP there are two files

jview.exe
wjview.exe

both are "Microsoft VM Command Line Interpreter"

XP was not made with JAVA in it.
To determine if you are running the Microsoft VM(Java), follow these steps:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type cmd, and then click OK.
3. At the command prompt, type:

jview

and then press ENTER.

If you are not running the Microsoft VM, you
receive the following error message:
'jview' is not recognized as an internal or
external command, operable program or batch file.
