wirtting user input to a text file

Hello,

I have a fairly simple bat file that needs to prompt a user for input....I have found the set /p new_variable="Enter value command....but how do I send the output of the "variable" to a text file?

you can use echo command.

supose value of variable = abc@123.
text file in which u want to put the output = c:\abc.txt
command should be-

echo %variable% >>c:\abc.txt
