Don't quite understand why but my wireless quit working when I turned on the computer the next morning.
Don't remember changing anything. Wireless still works on all my other computers.
I click view available wireless networks and get cannot configure wireless connection.
Something about start the WZC wireless zero configuration. I go into control panel, administrative tools, services, and try and start it and get an error 1068 dependency or group failed to start.
I've always used windows to manage my wireless.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall wireless card which didn't help.
I plugged in the computer via cat5 and it's up and running fine.
anyone have any ideas as to what would cause this? or what I can do to get wireless working again.
I have a linksys WMP54G pci card.
MSI K8N Neo
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2.21ghz
1GB DDR 3200
nVidia 128mb FX 5200
WD 120gb SE
NEC ND-3500AG DVD R/RW

Nope. No router changes. All other computers still connect fine.
I'm thinkin it's a wireless problem within windows. I tried a DWL-G122 usb wifi and get the same error. Cannot start WZC.

I have a page in the red link that is for loss of connection. Hopefully that will get you going.
Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Glad to Help!

Tried your two suggestions but didn't fix it.

I put a link to the exact errors that come up when I try to find a wireless network or start the WZC service.
Just to note again, I have never used linksys's Utility that comes with it, just the driver and windows wireless utility.
Thanks for your input so far though :)

Ok this acts like the wifi cards have initiated their own program configurations...which is probably caused by an update if auto updating is on. Reason why you don't remember doing anything!
Look under programs for any links to the wireless card that might be there and see if they will access the available networks...

I don't have any program links for wireless cards other then windows.I just let it manage my card and I did a good job for a couple years now.
That's one I don't know. Where might I find the event log.
