i have installed a microsoft wireless notebook mouse a about a month ago. it worked fine uo to now. It now just doesn't work anymore. the light in the transmitter doesn't even come on. if it should work after some handling, it works for about 10 minutes and then again it doesn't work anymore. i have a logitech mouse which i use as well and that too it works for about 10 minutes and the it doesn't work anymore. the notebook does not freeze. the driver seems to get disconnected somehow or disabled. i tried to update drivers through the system device option, but it tells me that the driver works fine. can anyone help? thanks

lynnacuz, strikes me that there are two major possibilities here- defective mouse- defective driver. Sounds like you've pretty well explored the driver so... Can you substitute another mouse to see? HTH. Ed in Texas.

Replace the batteries if the mouse doesn't already have fresh ones.
