Hi everyone i have a laptop with inbuilt wireless which worked with my router/access point when it was new. I remember putting it into standby and it has never detected the wireless network since. I have used a pcmcia card which works, but it is annoying that the inbuilt one does not work. Windows said check the wireless switch is on. It does not have a switch but fn+f1 has a symbol which could mean wireless. i have pressed it but it does not affect the result of the search for my wlan. Any ideas on how to get it working? i cant find any other switch. Also, there is not option for it in the bios anywhere and it is installed and windows thinks it works in device manager. It even has a connection in the network connections screen. Any ideas, cheers chris!

click on the admin tools in the control panel and select services. Dbl clk and scroll down to wireless and see that it is enabled and running.

There are a lot of tweaks that will disconnect this as a security issue!
