Okay, I have a desktop and this notebook that I'm using right now. I have a 3 gigabit wireless connection. I try downloading things at the max speed on bittorrent but every time I download at the max speed, my connection times out. When I'm on ethernet it doesn't time out. I'm not sure if I have to configure my router a certain way. But all help is appreciated.

Hi...

I believe that since you are on a wireless network, there is a time out setting somewhere...maybe as a temporary fix until you get an accurate answer,
try running you outlook exprees mail with the setting to check for mail every minute and it will keep the connection active.

Or try using a pinging program that pings you ISP regularly to keep the connection active.

Hope this works for you.

regards

Joe.

You have a 3 gig wireless connection? Wow I didn't know they made them that fast. What kind of router and ISP do you have?

Yea I would like to know that too. I have wireless G and thought it was fast at 54 instead of the old b at 11.

Go to your router management page, look for connection "keep alive" or similar configuration and enable it, so that the router will keep the Internet connection active all the time..
