my usb wireless intellimouse explorer (microsoft) frequently doesn't react anymore; sometimes for a short part of a second (but many times in a row), sometimes for several seconds. i tried to change the place of the receiver already a lot of times, but nothing helped.

Have you checked the mouse's batteries? This happens to me when the batteries are low.

Hi Patman,

Sometimes if you have another mouse installed it crashes. Your computer doesn't know which one you wanna use. You can remove the mouse device you don't need to use. Have a go.
