Wireless keyboard stopped working

I have used a Logitech Wireless keyboard/mouse for over a year now without any problems, but then a few days ago the keyboard stopped working for no apparent reason. I tried reconnecting it, changing the batteries a few times, re-installing the iTouch software and re-installing the keyboard drivers, all to no avail. And I saw a lesser-known issue of the "should not see me" program hanging on a shutdown command. I believe this program is what is interfering with the keyboard, and I checked msconfig and started a diagnostic startup which didn't help the issue. Funny thing is, sometimes some keys will work, but they do commands such Scroll Lock and Master Mute. Any suggestions besides switching to new mouse/keyboard?

I use several of the Logitech wireless keyboards with both 2000 and XP OS enviornments. I dont install any keyboard drivers or additional software. Its not needed.
The only problems that I have had included batteries, resetting the transmitter/receiver (red reset button) and cellular phones which can overload the radio frequencies. So dont set a cell phone on your desk next to the keyboard.

Had a couple of logitech wireless model y-re20 the gray and black one. It would work for about a month then stop. Upon returning the keyboard to the store, it was tested and found defective,Well this went on 3 more time till finally I got one that worked good. Do what PeteN said. If you are still having problems, then you may want to trade that one out for another one. Good Luck
