ok, I have a linksys wireless 54g router and 54g pc card on my pc downstairs. It would work fine and all of a sudden one morning it said no connectivity/low connection with a yellow error sign. I asked some friends what I should do, they said to uncheck the box that says notify me when I have limited/no connectivity. I did and it said i was connected at 54mb/s but i coundnt get online. He also said try uninstalling SP2 and I did that as well. Nothing still. I dont know whats wrong. Also my Norton Autoprotect wont go on, possibly I have a virus? I scanned with adaware and spybot. Notron found a virus in system 32 but I can locate the file to manually delete it. How can I get my internet working? Thanks - Joe

Hi Joe. The message you get telling you that you are connected only tells you that your PC card is talking to your router. Your problem is with your connection to your ISP. If you have not changed any settings chances are that you just need to reset your modem. To do this disconnect the power supplies (adapters) to your router and modem and leave them disconnected for a couple of minutes then reconnect them. Reboot and try to connect again. Good luck. Joe it doesn't matter if your computers are connected when you reset the modem and router but you need to reboot both computers after reconnecting The adapters then try your internet connection. cheers
