To set up a wireless internet connection on a laptop, would you recommend using the wireless card that slides into the pci slot or a wireless usb connector? I just realized there are both and wasn't sure the pro's and con's to each one.... Thanks~

The wireless USB connection is used for wireless mice and keyboards Use the pcmcia wireless card and get the fastest possible which is 802.11g at this time although 802.11n should be out fairly soon which will be almost twice as fast as the 'g' version.

I believe the wireless usb network adapter is better than the pcmcia card. The usb one has better reception.

ok some pointers. one problem you may find with the usb adapter is it juts out of your laptop quite rigidly (unless you get a usb extension cable) and as such could accidently be knocked out etc.
a pcmia card is more of a permenant solution as its inside the laptop.
its really upto your own personally preference
